6 Ways to Get Rid Of Your Spring Cleaning Mess.

Spring is here, and that means it's time for many to do a spring clean. For many that will mean having things to get rid of.  Below are six great ways that you can get rid of the things you no longer want.

Donate

Many organizations and charities can benefit from donations.  Whether it is clothes or other household items, you can drop them off at local thrift stores, or at the D.I.

Yardsale

If you have some things that others might want, you might want to consider having a yard sale.  Yard sales are an American tradition that still lives on.  Put out some signs, post on Facebook, and spread the word.  Make sure your signs are visible, and in higher traffic areas.

KSL/Offer Up

If you don't want to have a yard sale,  putting your household items on KSL is a great way to get rid of your things.  Simply create a listing, take some pictures(the higher quality, the better), and put up and asking price.

You can also choose to put your listing on Offer Up.  Offer Up is a local marketplace app that lets people post their things online and sell them. It has grown in popularity and is a great place to make a listing.

eBay

Selling your additional stuff on eBay is also a great way to put your items in front of a wider audience.  If you have things that are a bit more obscure, Eay is a great place to find a potential buyer.

Storage

Maybe you just don't have the room anymore, but you aren't trying to get of it quite yet.  If this is the case, a storage unit is a great solution.  They aren't very expensive and are available in different sizes to accommodate.

Dumpster Rental & Junk Hauling

It might just be time to get rid of something.  Maybe that couch has finally seen its last days and is too worn to donate. Renting a dumpster is a great way to make throwing your larger items away. You can get it dropped off and then picked up when you are done with your spring cleaning.

Conclusion

There are many options for taking care of your spring cleaning mess.  If you have things that you could sell, you might consider posting it online at KSL or Offerup, or you can donate to a local thrift store.  If you aren't ready to part with your things,  you might consider getting a storage unit.  If you things are on their last legs,  renting a dumpster can be an easy way to get your trash taken care of.
